Born in Mozambique and raised in the Portuguese capital Lisbon, Mariza dos Reis Nunes began performing at her father’s restaurant as a five-year-old. The Portuguese artist launched her professional music career in the late 1990s and released her debut album “Fado Em Mim” in 2001. Mariza has since sold around one million records and she is one of the world’s most successful fado singers.
